LHR Takes ADDY Gold Award

Our work for The South Carolina State Guard on The 2010 Medal of Honor Convention online campaign earned us a Gold Addy Award presented by The Charleston Ad Fed. We couldn’t be happier to have our dedication to such an important event and it’s attendees recognized for it’s merit. We hope that the next event in Louisville is one to remember as was the 2010 Convention here in Charleston. Oooh-rah.

Little Highrise, eh?

How’d you come up with that name?
This is one of the most asked question around the studio when our friends and clients drop in, so we’ll enlighten you here in our inaugural post.There’s a few takes so you pick your favorite and let us know. We’ll make that one our “official” story.

Option #1
The name Little Highrise is derived from our team’s background. We’ve all been in the interactive/advertising industry for a while (no, we won’t say how long…just trust us, we have the baggy eyes to prove it) and have earned our stripes. We’ve all had big agency experience and the Manhattan highrise positions in our past, so after running on the hamster wheel for a while to long we’ve decided to downsize and keep it small and intimate. Now we can get our hands dirty and get involved with the ins-and-outs of each project, which has always been what we’ve wanted to do. Thus we are Little Highrise, a Boutique agency with big ideas.

Option #2
We moved the agency to historic downtown Charleston because we could not think of a more inspiring environment. We landed on the third floor of a historic building on Broad Street (c. 1796). This is our own Little Highrise. This is as high (as in height) as they come in downtown Charleston.

Option #3
Little = small, intimate, personal, humble
Highrise = success, excellence, experience
